Party Perfect

What a treat to see that Adah chose one of my designs for her first birthday party!
It is possible that her mom Sara had something to do with it. Sara is the creative behind Sara's Party Perfect and Hick's Paper Goods.

The Young Victoria

I hope that everyone had a great week end. We rented The Young Victoria and loved it.
Emily Blunt was as beautiful as her dresses.
I am a sucker for a sweet love story.
I would love to read more about Victoria and Albert, any recommendations?

wool felt flowers

We just added these wool felt hair clips to the store.
I am in love.
I am way to old to wear them in my hair but not too old to put one on a vintage clutch or something.
Do you like how they dress up my little girl's shoes from Target?
How about you...do you love wool felt as much as I do? These are going in my girl's Christmas stockings for sure.

bar denim blues chattanooga

We had a fun day in Chattanooga. One of the new stores to open at Warehouse Row is Bar Denim Blues.
We got to spend time with the owner Stephanie Bolton and enjoy her fun store.
They have loads of vintage cowboy boots. These look just like my favorite pair that I have had for 25 years.
These are pretty awesome too.

We love the vintage southern Americana vibe.

I love the vintage globe collection.
They even have a happy hour on Thursdays.

Buggin' under the Big Top

Every year our third grade puts on a fabulous play written and directed by one of our teachers KC Carraway. I am always amazed that she has come up with another one and this years did not disappoint.

Clare was a firefly (the one in the middle).

I loved all of the costumes. Here is one of the termites...

and the praying mantis...get it with the halos...

It was a treat to have Scott shoot lots of pictures while I relaxed and enjoyed the show.

The other day I peeked into my mail box and this is what I found...

This picture does not even convey how beautiful this suede envelope and velvet ribbon are. How about the silver intaglio with Evy stamped on the back? Makes me think I might not be creative after all.
Inside was this beautiful necklace with a "7" for my seven children. She hand braids these herself. Makes me think I have no patience. And the beautiful card is her business card with her info on one side and the beautiful antique statue on the other. One of her treasures no doubt.
If you want to give someone something totally unique to make them feel very special one of Evy's treasures will do it.

I like to name my clothing after friends. This is the Evy top. It reminds me of her.

santa baby

I love beautiful art and usually have more that one piece of an artist work. I would love to have a collection of peonies by Jacqueline Gnott. I don't know if Santa reads blogs but if he does I have been a very good girl this year.
