summer

I won't lie, summer is not the easiest time for me. I love the freedom from school, homework etc but it seems like as soon as I get the kitchen cleanish from one meal everyone wants to know what's for the next meal. I think God gave me this daughter so that I wouldn't go totally bonkers.
In her free time she adores playing with her 3 younger sisters. The other day they decided to make a video of Cinderella. Here she is pretending to be the fairy godmother. (Can you see the wand that she made out of a pencil?)
Hope everyone had a sweet weekend!

Ah, a lovely ballerina. My daughter danced and we still have a bag of unused Freed pointe shoes in her closet. I will never forget watching her performances. Once I was sitting behind two girls, and they gasped when my daughter started to dance. I was so proud. One of of those moments I'll always thank her for.

Oh my Goodness! She is so graceful and elegent! Her little sisters (and you) are very lucky indeed! I agree with your thought on summer! I like a schedule and there is no schedule in summer. I am good for a few weeks, and then I crave guidelines - although I am still in my jammies at 8:50 am, so it isn't all bad :)

Give that girl a crown and a real wand, for goodness sakes! She is stunning!
I feel you on summer. Have you read "Creating space for Happiness" - I think we are so used to having every second programmed, that it is nice to have time for creating like this. Serve them lunch for b'fast and mix up the meals to make it more fun.
We are kitchen less now so we are "hosing" off our plates. It is kinda fun! (for now) If only I had a wand.

What a lovely girl...wish my kids played so well together. My eldest is great at rallying them all for games outside, but eventually it ends in tears...

What a lovely girl!! So nice for her to take time with her younger siblings. My oldest daughter has always been a huge help to me and her three younger siblings, especially, my youngest daughter, her sister, Olivia, who has down syndrome. She actually had the lead role as Cinderella in her high schools musical production of "Cinderella" and Olivia was given a role in the production as a little fairy, a mouse, and a flower girl. Such a special thing for them to share the stage. She is leaving for college in the fall to attend the Univ. of Alabama and it won't be the same without her.
