Diana Vreeland

This weekend I saw The Eye has to Travel about Vogue editor Diana Vreeland.  It was inspiring and entertaining.  I loved seeing it on the big screen but I look forward to watching it again so that I can pause and linger over some of the fabulous photo spreads.

Out of Africa

I remember loving Out of Africa when it came out years ago but had forgotten most of the story. We rented it the other night and I was not disappointed.
The Sydney Pollack film starring Meryl Streep and Robert Redford is a feast for the eyes.
It is going on my list of all time favorites.
How about you? What are some of your "not THAT old" favorites.

kit kittredge

When I first started my clothing line all of my fabrics were copies of vintage feed sacks from the 40's. So naturally I love the American girl doll Kit.

I think that her green dress is my favorite.

We saw the movie in the theatre when it came out years ago (with my older girls). I just saw it again with my younger girls and I still love it.

If you have young girls and haven't seen it yet I give it a big thumbs up.

elf

I know that I am a little late but I saw this move for the first time tonight. I loved it! Sitting by a fire watching a movie as a family, all nine of us, knowing that there is no school tomorrow ...it doesn't get a lot better than that.

The Young Victoria

I hope that everyone had a great week end. We rented The Young Victoria and loved it.
Emily Blunt was as beautiful as her dresses.
I am a sucker for a sweet love story.
I would love to read more about Victoria and Albert, any recommendations?

date movie..

We rented this the other night and I loved it.  The only problem is now I am coveting a huge wonderful lake home.  Perhaps by the time my children can bring their children I'll have one.

love...chic flicks

In honor of my sister who gave birth to her 8th child today...here are my top 8 movies. (I wish that I loved intellectual movies with sub titles but the truth is that I love a good chic flick.)
