I love working on projects for the store window in Chattanooga. For Valentines Day I decided to make 3 long garlands out of pages of an old book. I painted hearts out of left over
ceilling paint from our office.
I used the first one as a template, copying the evenly spaced holes with a pencil.
The I used my Martha Stewart mini hole punch to cut out holes 1/2" apart.
Then I strung them together with cotton twine from Goodwill.
I strung one on the mantle in our office to show you and now they are on the way to the store.
I am really happy with how it turned out if I do say so myself.

Adorable! And making me think about doing some projects of my own...
Cute garland. I love that shade of pink. Can anyone tell me what's the paint brand/color? Thanks!
Beautiful! What a great idea for a store window.
love it!
You are so creative and so talented, this is adorable! If I saw this in a store window, I would have to step in!
I found your clothing line from another blogger who said, "Kayce Hughes clothes are beautiful and appropriate for little girls." I had to check it out, and I agree! In a world where little girls are dressed too grown up, your line is just wonderful. I just ordered from your spring line the Jane dress for my youngest daughter! We are having a paper doll (Betsy McCall) birthday party...sort of a 50's thing...and it will be perfect! Her birthday is not until April, but I plan early! It will take me forever to cut out the paper dolls to make a garland and I didn't want that lovely little dress to be all sold out! So glad to see you keep a blog! I will follow! Thanks for making beautiful, timeless dresses that make our little girls BE little girls!! Christie at www.threepixielane.blogspot.com
P.S. I love the Valentine garland and will enjoy looking back through your pix! Thanks again!
That garland is wonderful. I always love the use of text in these kinds of projects.
