nashville store

My brain is about to explode trying to decide if we should do a store in Nashville.
The place that we want to have our store is full with no foreseeable turnover. The other area that I like only has one spot that would work and it is much larger than I need thus making the rent really high.

I know that a store here is the next step for us I just don't know what to do.
Any words of wisdom?????

valentine garland DIY

I love working on projects for the store window in Chattanooga. For Valentines Day I decided to make 3 long garlands out of pages of an old book. I painted hearts out of left over ceilling paint from our office.
I used the first one as a template, copying the evenly spaced holes with a pencil.

The I used my Martha Stewart mini hole punch to cut out holes 1/2" apart.

Then I strung them together with cotton twine from Goodwill.

I strung one on the mantle in our office to show you and now they are on the way to the store.

I am really happy with how it turned out if I do say so myself.

Exhausted

This morning we loaded the car and a trailer with props and mannequins.

We return tonight very tired but excited. There is still a bit more to do but overall we are very pleased. Do you like my back to school theme in the window?

hunting

I am on the hunt for some felt flower hair clips for the new store. I had seen some months ago (probably even blogged about them) but now I can't remember where. I did find these delightful goodies on my search. They are from green mountain wee woolies.

If anyone knows where my flower clips are will you please let me know?

the news

For those of you who didn't call or email I am partnering with Snap Kids to open up a Kayce Hughes store in Chattanooga asap. I am so excited that I am up blogging past 1:00 am....or perhaps it was the coffee ice cream.

The store will be filled with both my women's and children's lines but I want to add a few other treasures as well. I love vintage children's books so the following 3 are a must.

What children's books am I missing? I would your help. Lots to do and not a lot of time.
