potty talk

I read my fair share of decorating blogs. Everyone seems to get their turn in the spot light everyone that is except the top of the toilet. My favorite thing to put on top of our commodes are vintage wicket baskets.

Full of treasures.

Every bathroom has its very own.

similar but different

basket.

The ribbons, of course, matching the decor.

How about you, what do you have on top of your toilet?

I think I'll be placing some vintage wicket baskets on mine now!

In the master bath, we have a wicker basket full to TP rolls. In the guest bath, we only have two, a large ceramic rabbit and some room spray.

What a great idea! With three girls of a certain age...this really could come in handy. The top of my toilets at present only hold room spray..boring! Yours look so pretty.

i love those wicker baskets!!! i have a weakness for those.

i have an old small lucite lamp and my aveda singular notes. that's it but i'd prefer a wicker basket now.

Kayce- An old curvy metal pitcher I picked up at a rummage sale.

Sadly, it's to fill up with water and dump into the toilet for that extra bit of water pressure when flushing - ahem - solids. Our plumbing is not too good! I had better plumbing in my old 1930 house than in my newer 1978 house! (I have yet to make a little tag for the pitcher to tell guests why it's there.)

Clever girl!! Don't you know guests are surprised when they pop open the basket lid for a little snoop?

I have seashells on the top of the one in the powder room. I love your baskets.

I've never known what to put there, but I think this is quite brilliant. vintage wicker baskets going on my treasure hunting (aka monthly visit to the local antique mall) list!

great idea...but my kitties would knock them over as they are very curious about flushing and jump up there quite often to get a better view. cats are silly sometimes.
