Matchbook Magazine

I am so excited to be in the April issue of Matchbook Magazine! If by chance you don't already read it I promise you will love it!

I am not great at having my picture taken but I am thrilled to now have some new ones with my girls and of course this picture with our 100lb cat .....Jack.  To see more photos of our 3 youngest girls, our house and the store as well as a handful of other talented people head on over.

A Flair for Vintage Decor

Today I popped into Holly's for her fabulous sale.
I couldn't resist a visit next door to A Flair for Vintage Decor.  The beautiful offerings always put me in a good mood.  As an added bonus Caroline was there with her beautiful new baby girl.

I snapped some photos of a few of my favorite things.

MBA Crew

Our Saturday was very full. Two soccer games, ballet, a Nutcracker parent meeting, a regatta and Home coming.  I wanted to be at all of it (well maybe not the Nutcracker parent meeting because it is about my 10th year) but we had to divide and conquer.

Owen's first regatta was the event I had to miss.  Knowing that Scott would be there with his camera made it a little easier.  Owen is a Junior School rower and a coxswain for the High School.

This week I stopped into a wonderful store here called Plucky. It was full of some beautiful dresses by Eva Franco.



I love how classic yet playful the clothes are. If you find yourself needing one of these beauties just call Elizabeth or any of the wonderful ladies at Plucky.

Nashville's Nutcracker

One of my favorite things about this time of year is going to see the Nutcracker. I am not sure what I love more the dancing or the costumes.

I am so excited to go see my friend Melodie perform at the Belcourt tonight! She is part of a cabaret style show FIVE that is an encore performance of a sold out show they did in March.

1. I never wear black.

2. I grind my own wheat and use it to make breads and pancakes etc.

4. Lilly Pulitzer is my aunt and our rehearsal dinner was at her house.

5. A few weeks ago I died my hair red from a box at Walgreen's. My husband says it looks fake but I think I like it.

6. I did natural childbirth with 6 of my 7 children. (in hospital no drugs)

7. I have never been officially diagnosed but my horrible spelling indicates that I am dyslexic.

tin can treats

I am so excited for my friends Melodie and Matty. They have just launched a new business called Tin Can Treats! They have turned their adorable vintage camper into a vintage Ice Cream Truck that will sell all of the "old school" favorites like Bomb Pops, Nutty Cones, Ice Cream Sandwiches and Snow Cones! This Saturday will be their grand opening in Nashville, and what better way to celebrate than with the Musicians Corner FREE music festivalin Centennial Park. Artists will include Damien Horne, Mindy Smith and others and will be from 3-6pm. Here are some shots that I took of my friend Tracy's house.  Tracy is an O.T. by day but I think she has a fabulous eye for interiors.  Her home is so wonderful and inviting.  I love how she mixes modern, industrial and very vintage.  I will show you some more tomorrow.
