The only snow that I want to see...

I am ready for spring but I wouldn't mind looking at these beautiful works by Harry Stooshinoff .  I own 4 of Harry's paintings and love looking at them every day.

This morning (when I should have been working) I had breakfast with my friend Evy McPhearson.  She is truly one of the most creative people that I know.  Evy's talents take on a multitude of forms but today's post is about the beautiful treasures that she finds and frames.  

A short trip to Mexico ended up lasting 2 1/2 years.  During that time she amassed a stunning collection of antique treasures.  I hate to even use the word "framed" to what she does because the "shadow boxes" that she creates are really works of art in themselves.  The artistry and history of her treasures would look beautiful in any home.

I am trying to get her to start blogging.  If you leave a comment on this post I will let you know when she gets up and running.

fun finds

Tonight I headed to Joanns to get some white feathers for my daughters art project.  While there I couldn't resist taking a peek around.  I came home with one of the pink boxes.  It is 14x16x7  and $14.99.  They also had one smaller and one larger size.  I am trying to figure out where I "need" some more.

I also love the look of these baskets.  Can you tell I love storage?

TJ Max

I headed to TJ Max to pick up some gold earrings for my 3 youngest girls.  (They seem to loose them as fast as I can buy them.)

Lilly Pulitzer had 2 adorable nightgowns for under $25.  And I fell in love with this blue and white bed cover that also came in a throw size.

Valentine's Day seemed to zoom by with out a lot of creativity on my part.  I did however get these pillows for my girls that are 12 and 14.  They seem to love them as much as I do.

I am loving this bag from Victoria's Secret.  At $89 I might need to add it to my collection.

final sale

Our shipping is moving from our office to a real distribution center.  This will free us up to do other things but it means that we will no longer have warehouse sales.  We will miss seeing all of our customers face to face.  I hope to see everyone on Tuesday or Wednesday.  Every thing is at least 75% off.  Olivia is making some treats for you.

What I love about art...

There are so many things that I love about original art to hang on ones walls.  One of them is that I don't have to worry about the puppy eating it.  I am loving this drawing by Martin Pate at $225 it is hard to resist.
