Round Hill - Summer 2014

The inspiration for our Summer line comes from Jamaica and my very cool friend Cathy Jo who grew up there.

I have never actually been there but the thought of sandy beaches, steel drums, pretty shells, bright colors and lots of people speaking in the same wonderful accent as Cathy Jo have me longing to go.

I don't remember what magazine I ripped this out of but it has been on my bulletin board for ever and in my dreams I am wearing it while sipping a big rum punch by the bay.

Our vintage inspired mod dress was made in the same pretty pink as this shell that I found on the beach.

This is a photo of my daughter Sophie wearing one of our new tunics from the collection.

I am very excited to launch our new teen line today!  It seems like yesterday that 2 of the girls in these photos were babies modeling day gowns.

We have been shooting the last pieces of our children's spring line and hope to have it on line tomorrow!

I am not sure that it gets any cuter than this guy!

lighting

A lighting fixture can make or break a room. Many awesome ones can also break the bank so I was thrilled to see this beauty from Lowes on the fabulous blog the Green Room Interiors.  At $189 (including the bulbs) I think that it is pretty perfect.

It would also look glamorous in a slightly vintage brass finish.....future DIY potential.

I am loving these sweet bowls from West Elm.

fashion illustration

I have always been in awe of fashion illustration.  Back when I worked at Ralph Lauren I got to work daily with some of the best.  I even took classes one year after work.  (It soon became evident that fashion illustration is not one of my talents.)

It did however deepen my appreciation for those with the gift like Mats Gustafson.  I am loving these paintings he created for Dior that I saw on Keep it Chic (one of my favorite blogs).
