Atlanta upholstery

Our new store is open and the vintage love seats are feeing a little shabby next to so much new.  So I am looking for an upholsterer.  If you have any ideas will you let me know so that my vintage pair can be wearing the same fabulous blue fabric as above?

vintage knobs

The Atlanta store is open but I still have a lot of details to finish. I decided to use vintage knobs as hooks for the dressing rooms and had fun perusing Etsy for fabulous knobs.  These are some that I loved but didn't end up getting....

If anyone has any tips on turning knobs into hook....please share.

blue and white

I am obsessed with all things blue and white lately. Perhaps it is the new store that is mostly blue and white and pink. Perhaps it is the hope that Spring and blue skies are coming soon. What ever the reason I can't seem to get enough.

I found theses goodies on sale at our West Elm.  I got the cups to hold our shiny red pencils at the store and the bowls for candy.

This fun Mara Mi paper table cloth is available at Target stores but not on line.  My friend Gen had the paper napkins at her house and she nicely parted with one that is going on my inspiration board.  I am tempted to run out and find this table cloth...just can't figure out what to make with it.

And of course Oscar de la Renta has some fabulous blue and white in his new home collection...

I know that pantone is loving green this year but at the moment I am feeling blue. I hope that your week is off to a great start!

Spotting this gem on Etsy made me wish that I hadn't already picked out my dressing room lights.

Atlanta

Does it look like it is almost done? Here I am clutching carpet samples in our new space.We are about 2 weeks away from moving in and we are looking for some fabulous people to run and work in the store.  So if you live in Atlanta or know someone who does will you help me spread the word?  Any one who is interested can email me at kayce@kaycehughes.com.

The walls should be pale pink soon with some high gloss white trim and wood floors.  I am off to find some fabric for the dressing rooms....

I am a couple weeks from opening a new store in Atlanta. This project has been so long and halted so many times that I have sort of stopped working on it.  But now I need to get moving!  The colors are going to be mostly blue and pink and I wish that I could find some paper like this that I saw on IIIInspired blog.

I am a researcher.  I love love love to dream and research and dream some more and go on Pinterest etc.  But our new store will be opening in 4 weeks so I need to make some decisions.  I need 4 pendant lights for the dressing rooms.  

I like this one from West Elm it is $149.  The size is very nice and I loved the round shape but the color wasn't right for me.

This one is from Terrain and is $218 for the larger size that I would want.  I haven't seen it in real life but it looks beautiful on line.

This one fromWorld Market is $69.99 and is 30% off today making it $49.  So I got 4 of them and might paint the insides pink and the outside gold.

If you have any better ideas...please let me know before I break out the paints.  Now I am off to figure out carpeting.

canvas bag

Every season I find a few things that I seem to grab time and time again.  This fall the mini red bag is one of those things.

It is the perfect size for every day.  I also love that it fits my i pad and a ton of fabric swatches which comes in handy lately as my approach to decorating the new store is a LOT of hunting and gathering.

Westside Provisions District

We are very excited to be opening a store in Atlanta's Westside Provisions District!  Construction should be starting any day and we hope to be open in the first half of November.
