Are you getting tired of my white jeans and TJ Max wedges? Last night I paired them with a Kayce Hughes tunic top from last fall and some fun jewelry. Don't you love the vintage bag? It was a Christmas present from Caroline and Betsy (the wonderful duo I get to work with every day).

Happy Birthday Betsy

The best part about my job is the wonderful people that I get to work with every day. Betsy has been here for two years and I don't know how we ever managed with out her. She does it all and always with a smile. Today we got to celebrate her birthday with a yummy breakfast. It included scones from Provence which is what I would like to eat every morning. If you live in Nashville be sure to treat yourself....they are worth every calorie.

Here is the link for the recipe I cooked last night it is from Publix. This is the first one we have tried, I wonder if any of the others are this good. The salad would be yummy on its own for lunch.

a nice quiet dinner

Tonight we all enjoyed coriander crusted salmon with chickpea artichoke salad.. This is only the third time we have made it but I think that it will be a favorite for a long time.

See how nice and peaceful dinner is.

I didn't say it lasted forever!

DIY

I love to do things around the house. I REALLY love when those things are fast, cheep and easy! I don't like it when things look decorated but I love little touches that tie the colors of a room together.

This is a lamp that I have had for a few years but just added the pink for our new office. (Love these little clips when you need an extra hand.)

I just apply Elmer's glue directly to the lamp with my fingers.

A few minutes and a few dollars and she fits right into our girly office. (Lamp and shade from CB2)

For this one I painted green directly onto the paper shade. (He lives in our kitchen)

This one is in my daughters room. (Lamp and shade from Target)

And last but not least this is in my second daughters room. (This lamp and shade from home depot.)

date night

Here is my outfit from Saturday's date. The gigi dress is from last fall's collection (so it is on sale) but it really is a year round dress. It is so flattering if you don't like your tummy because you have had a lot of kids or are in your mid 40's or both! I usually mix it with yellow accessories but I was in the mood for red. The shoes are my $10 TJ Max Uggs. My bag is Kate Spade from two years ago and my red bangles are old from forever 21. The flower pin is one of my many vintage thrift store enamel pins that I adore.

I have heard from some of you but I want to hear from more! Are you going on a date this week? No date...grab some girlfriends, a sister or your mom. Take the time to linger with someone you love this week.
